The Black woman is a symbol of strength globally. Myths about her existence, based on Eurocentric fallacies, have deceived us for years, and fashion, with its power of visual communication (recent and still with limited openness), participates in this constant and diligent race to compensate for the problematic period faced by these bodies, acknowledging their potency, determination, and elegance.
In this photo series, the charm of the garments from the second decade of the 21st century, characterized by the fluidity of a diverse range of trends and the free use of identities seen in different slices of history, features Joyce, drawing attention to her genuine and authentic beauty.
Microtops, catsuits, fluid fabrics, transparency, color trends, tank tops, tailoring, cutouts, fringes, textures, and shine envelop this woman as the greatest expression of freedom in the post-modern era.
Special thanks to @izasoy, for guiding us in this work with her generosity and representativeness.
